I got this phone call from Jess.

"Be at the Courthouse at 10 on Thursday"

I set up the marriage stuff.

Then I am talking to Cat and she says

"leave next Friday open, I'm next"

I am gaining two sons in the span of 8 days.

I can't think anymore...

I'm happy.

Just, WOW lots of change.

Really fast...

The Nest will never be the same

I knew this day would come, I guess I just thought it would take longer to get here. Jessica is moving back to Utah. I am really happy for her, I am really sad for the rest of us.

In our society kids become "adults" at 18, legal adults. That means that if she robs a bank, I am not liable, she can vote in the general elections, and she is legally free to move out of mom and dad's home. If we were still in Utah, this would be easier because we wouldn't be 800 miles apart when she did it. But we are not, so it is not easy. First of all, she knows how to run all the television electronics and x-box! Yes we will be calling you Jess if you are reading this! Second, not in any order, she has little sisters who don't know how to handle the emotions of losing her. Jess has always been there, she is our stable rock! Third, I am an only child. I have never lived with anyone this long and had them move away, except my parents. I am gonna miss her!!

So this year, I, Jessica Evan Harris graduated from high school which is a major accomplishment because high school is your “prime suffering years”. I have worked as a temp (where my mom was a recruiter last year) since I turned 17 and have earned the rank of “Rock Star temp”. I have learned many different things about office work and even had an assignment for Bill Gates, well not really. But I was able to get a fabulous pair of red patten leather Jessica Simpson pumps with a tortoise heel!!

I have made lots of friends at church, I am the Young Single rep for our little ward. Nick and I are still together after over a year of being three states apart. He gave me a promise ring at Thanksgiving!!

I have so much to be grateful for, this has been a wonderful year and I can't wait to see what next year brings.

Jessica's "new" car

Oh boy have we got a project!! I can't believe Brad bought this!$400.00(for the car) and a new radiator $100.00, it is almost ready to pass inspection! The inside was so dirty, we spent some time, a little love and I think it is getting better. Brad bought seat covers for Jes ( his baby can't sit on gross old seats), new tires ( no blow out's for her), an area rug to cut and recarpet the back (he's making it nice for his baby) and what a difference!! It looks like a new car. Jes of course has bought a white/pink flip flop scented hangy thing for the rear view mirror and a beachy flip flop theme sun reflector for the front window. Oh and a pink sparkly flip flop window decal (4x5inch) for the rear window. First things first for Jes, teen priority. HA HA
