Pam and Julie.
We have reconnected after (too many) many many years.
We were such great friends in High School.
Until they decided to leave me behind and move away...
I forgive them, we are together again.
We had a 4 hour lunch at Mimi's Cafe.
Then we had lunch and a movie, this was a LOL-Fest.
We are having a BBQ today.
Seriously, this Facebook thing has been great!

5 words

So I get laid off.
Then I go shopping at DI one day.
(DI is a second hand store)
I run into Tiffany,
she and I go way back.
Long story short, I went to her house that has just had a fantastik makeover.
Right there, on the wall is this poster.
Not just any poster.
It is the perfect shade of RED.
It has 5 words.
It is just perfectly perfect for these hard times!

Thanks Tiffany!
I just ordered mine!

American Idol

I used to make fun of this show.

Really.

Come on people, get a life!

But thanks to many addicted friends, last year when the David battle was on...

I watched, all of them.

Now this year I am too.

I work with this wonderful gal named Saniie, who has a niece on the show this year!!

She is quite a talented young lady!

Check her out, do your due diligence, watch the show and vote!

Jack

I am adding to the post: Jack is on his way right NOW!!!!

Jack we are waiting for you!
Jack we can't wait to hold you!

Amy is the best, she did so very much for my two eloping daughters! Flowers, Pictures, Announcements!!

Now she is still waiting for Jack to arrive!

She is one of the most industrious 9 month overdue gals I have ever known!!

Go ahead, be lazy! I would.
Maybe that is what he is waiting for...

The hike

So we have these great friends John and Amy.

They invite us to go to Snowbird with them overnight.

For those of you who are thinking Snowbird, huh?

Is that a place?

Yes it is, it is a fabulous ski resort here in SLC.

Then they say we are going to go on a hike before we check in.

I'm thinking well I'm out of shape, but Amy is prego.

How hard can it be?

Think again silly girl!

WOW! Can you say 1 mile solid uphill!

So John is amazing...

He has Penny (cutest baby besides mine) in a front pack and we are off to the races!

John is first, Amy next, Brad following close... Oh then there was ME!

By the time we got 90% of the hike done I am gasping, my heart is flipping and flopping.

Then all of a sudden, I can't breathe, I am having visions of life flight trying to get to me.

Actually I was praying they would get me off the mountain!!

John, slowed down.

Amy and Brad are in the lead.

I sit on a rock.

John waits.

I get up, walk some more.

Sit on another rock.

John waits.

All the while being so patient.

I'm sure in his head he is thinking, come on!! Let's get going!!

What a guy!

Thanks John, for waiting for the older, slow, out of shape friend!!

PS~ The rest of the overnight was fabulous!!

This is the same three kids as the last pic in the last post...

Oh how they have grown, and stayed friends all these years!!!

Friends

Last weekend we were blessed to be invited to a beautiful wedding.

Our oldest daughters brought dates, that was really cool.
It is always nice to see the boys all dressed up!

The Bride's dress was so amazing, simple and classically elegant.
The Groom was so handsome, and in love with his Bride.

One of my best friends was there, the Auntie of the Bride.
She and her hubby danced, I missed out on that. No dancing with Brad :(

The girls were able to re connect with old friends, and have so much fun!
Friends that have been there since they were still in diapers!

Brad and I saw a friend that we haven't seen since a missionary farewell years ago.
It doesn't matter, they are still friends.

What would we all do without friends.
How do we make friends.

The friends that we saw at this wedding are friends that we met while living in the U of U married student housing. Those are the friends you keep for life. I love these people. They are like family to me.

Love your friends, no one can ever say they have too many...

Found my Seattle Friends!

Ok, so here I am living in Zion again. I can make fun of it becasue I have lived here, left and made the decision to come back. I love it here, it is chock full of helpful little old ladies, people who cut you off on the freeway, size zero bottle blondes driving SUV's that barely fit into their garage, and my friends and family!!

But in Seattle, are two bloggers that I wish I had spent more time with before I left. But we have found eachother, and I want to TAG them. I know I am not "doing it right" (Mr. Mom movie line), But oh well!! So when you gals
(http:/www.justkeepmovingon.blogspot.com AND http:/www.oinkledoinkle.blogspot.com ) read this, you're it!

The Weekend

Our favorite friends from St. George came up to visit and we had a great weekend. Jessica, Tate and Jaqui who were all diaper friends when we lived at the U of U. Those teens played hard, they even went back to to the U to see thier old stomping ground, the playground!! We went to the farmers market on Saturday and I bought the best looking Garlic ever! That night we went to the Jazz festival, listened to great music and watched (lol) drunk people slosh drinks and stumble around. What can I say it is cheap entertainment.

Cat got home from DC last night!!! The drill team made 4th place at the National competition. Cat was 30 sec. away from winning the Fleet Foot award wich is given to the fastest female runner!! Cat did great and had a great time. I don't have any pictures , not becasue I did not sent the camera. She said that it would not work for her, it's funny how when ya put the battery in backwards it doesn't take pictures!!!! What a blonde!!
